A misfit documentary crew gets more than they bargained for when they are recruited by an eccentric magician to investigate a dangerous cult.

Short synopsis

What happens when a magician (Kari) cobbles together a ragtag documentary crew (Joan, Chris, Tig, and Joel) in hopes of exposing a supposedly supernatural cult? It goes surprisingly well… according to Kari. To the rest of the crew who aren’t living in denial, it’s a chaotic nightmare that’s so absurd they can’t help but laugh through the blood and tears. When the crew first signed on for Kari’s documentary, they figured they would shoot a few interviews with ex-cultists and be home in time for dinner. No one expected Kari would coerce them into infiltrating the cult’s gruesome rituals where human sacrifice and resurrection take place nightly. Kari had assured the crew that the grisly murder rituals are nothing more than magic tricks. Who could believe the cult’s claims that they can resurrect the dead by projecting a cursed reel of film? Kari soon starts to believe when she learns the hard way that not only are the cursed film’s powers real and dangerous —they’re infectious.
